Instagram has become a popular social network these days. It is being used by celebrities to connect with their fans, professionals to find potential clients and businesses use it to stay in touch with their customers. However, like every other social network, you have to have a lot of following to get your voice heard. Today, I am going to talk about an easy to follow process to win a large number of followers on Instagram. These are real people and not those fake accounts that follow everyone. The process is really simple and easy to follow if you are a little bit tech-savvy.

Before we talk about how to get someone to follow you on Instagram, we are going to understand how to attract their attention to your account. For this, we will need to find out when do you open your Instagram app on your phone.

You engage with the Instagram app when you get a notification from them. So we need a way to have Instagram send a notification about us to their users. Now comes the hard part. How do we get Instagram to do that? For that, we need to take an action, such as like a potential target’s post, comment on it or follow them. Once you do that they will get a notification on their phone with your username and clicking on it, they will come to your profile on Instagram.

Once you succeed in getting them to your Instagram profile, you want to impress them. For this you want to have good quality pictures and videos posted on your account. If they like what they see, they will follow you.

The first tool is a Chrome extension called Image Downloader. You can add it to your Chrome browser from this link. This plugin helps you download images from any webpage.

Once you have that plugin, you have two options to get images. You can get images from creative commons search, but you may have to resize them as Instagram does not support every image size.

Your second alternative will be to download images from other Instagram accounts. You can simply go to those accounts, load all the images by scrolling down and clicking on “Load more” button and then running the Chrome plugin.

Once you have the images head over to Fan Harvest. Fan Harvest is an Instagram automation tool that allows you to engage people as well as schedule posts on your images.

Once you have signed up for Fan Harvest, first go to Schedule Posts and using their Bulk Scheduler tool schedule all of the images you downloaded to go live on your Instagram account.

Once you have scheduled enough images, now we want to send users notifications. Fan Harvest allows you to create what they call promotion. A promotion takes in one or more hashtags and then finds posts that mention that hashtag. Then it likes and comments on those posts for you all day long. You can even follow these people or you can follow the followers of some other accounts. You can control almost everything as per your preference.

Fan Harvest also has a tool to send direct messages to your followers. You can thus set it to greet your followers with a nice message.
